You are and will always be the best father I could ever ask for. I am thankful to have those few years with you rather than lots of years with another person. What I had with you for those years we were together is what other people wish they had.
You have taught me so much. Saying that you are an AWESOME person is an understatement. I have never met anyone with a heart as pure as yours.
You always said that I deserve the best and don’t settle for second best. I’m sure you were referring to general aspects of life. But as I think about it now, maybe you were referring to men more than life. You are the reason why I know that not all men are the same. I learned in church that we are God’s princesses, and that we shouldn’t settle for anyone who will fall short of our expectations or for someone who will make us question our principles in life. I thank God for giving you to me„ you are the living proof of God’s word, that somewhere out there, there is that one special person for you who will take care of you and love you unconditionally. Someone who will be a good husband and father, just like how you were to mama and me.
One day I will have a husband who will take care of me how you took care of me and mama. One day, I will have a son like you -he will look like you and he too will have your heart and principles. When that time comes, I will pass the crown as “spoiled princess” to my little girl. With a husband and son like that, no one will be able to hurt my little girl, she will feel safe and protected just like how I felt in your arms.
